Karl Popper - A Review

Karl Popper - A ReviewMany of the best quality pieces of research papers from the past few years have been authored by Karl Popper. A very interesting book entitled, The Trial Research Paper is an attempt to put a critical eye on Popper's brilliant little novel. This book examines and explains in detail the central issues which make this little book unique. This is a very simple book that presents and explains the philosophical ideas of Popper in relation to all his other works. In fact, it is one of the very few books which discusses these ideas with as much passion and depth as Karl Popper's famous book, Logic. This is a book which provides an insight into the subject of Popper's philosophy.Much of the discussion within this book is devoted to Popper's particular conception of what constitutes true knowledge and the methodology that this knowledge should be acquired. For example, his method of testing hypotheses is also examined and contrasted with some of the other methods used tod ay in the study of knowledge. The Trial Research Paper is very accessible and is written in a very straightforward style. For those with a background in philosophy, it should prove an interesting read for those who have an interest in the topic but do not necessarily have much knowledge about philosophy. One major flaw with the book, however, is that it does not provide an account of the concepts and ideas of Popper's own philosophy. The Trial Research Paper provides a brief outline of some of the main ideas of Popper's thought and then only briefly describes what he meant by them.A similar problem occurs with regard to the contributions made by Karl Popper to the theory of inductive logic. Popper himself presented no attempts to explain what he meant by inductive logic and so this information has been left entirely to the end of the book. Thus, the reader must do his or her own research. The Trial Research Paper by Robert Katz and RJ Popper is a book that could well have been written at least fifteen years ago. Its purpose is to update this older work, and its success as such is based on several elements, including an extremely clear and simple style and an approach that explain concepts in a manner that is comprehensible to all readers.
